• $4M Lottery Winner Sold In Cheshire (patch.com) — A $4 million winning CT Lottery scratch ticket was sold at the Gulf Convenience Mart on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Cheshire, bringing a big windfall to a Tolland man and a $40,000 bonus to the store. The winner, Phil, discovered his prize while waiting to start work, and says he plans to invest the money and possibly take a vacation.
   

• Report: Former Penn State Football Tight End Luke Reynolds Transfers To Virginia Tech (onwardstate.com) — Former Penn State tight end Luke Reynolds, who originally committed out of Cheshire is transferring to Virginia Tech to follow coach James Franklin. The former five-star recruit has two years of eligibility left after posting 35 catches for 368 yards over two seasons and making several key special-teams plays.
