Town Interviews Candidates for Deputy Finance Post

A new deputy finance director is expected to be hired by the month's end to fill a position created by a promotion in the department.

A deputy director for the Finance Department is expected to be hired soon to fill the open position created when James Jaskot was promoted to finance director in July.

Jaskot said five candidates were recently interviewed by a panel of three finance directors from nearby towns.

More than 30 applicants applied for the job, Jaskot said, which pays from $57,760 to $93,402, depending on experience.
