World Class Art Lessons Offered in Cheshire
The town-owned art school, Artsplace, offers classes taught by award-winning artists. Learn from instructors with decades of collective experience. Registration for the fall semester is now open. Don't wait, classes fill up quickly!
Artists believe anyone can learn to draw. Here's your chance to test that theory, for free!
For the first time, is offering a free introduction to drawing class called "I Can’t Draw.” The one-day workshop will be held on Sat., Sept. 17 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Pre-registration required.
The workshop will be taught by instructor Tony Ruggiero who is a well-known pen and ink artist.

Other one-day workshops, which let students dip their toe in the world of art for a small cost, include:
- Viking knit jewelry made with copper wire
- Re-styled furniture; recycle a piece with embellishments and paint
- Elfen Magic; needle felting to build a soft sculpture
- Big and Bold drawing workshop; create quick, large sketches.
Other classes for children and adults are semester-long courses which are held once a week for seven weeks. All workshops and classes begin in mid-September.
