1 Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer Rollover On I-95 In Clinton: PD

The driver of a tractor-trailer was seriously injured after a rollover crash on I-95 North in Clinton, according to state police.

CLINTON, CT β€” The driver of a tractor-trailer was seriously injured after a rollover crash on I-95 North in Clinton on Tuesday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

The crash happened around 7:05 a.m. at the intersection of the Exit 63 off-ramp and North High Street, according to police.

Police said the tractor-trailer, which was pulling a shipping container, was traveling in the right lane on I-95 North when the driver turned right onto the off-ramp.

While traveling on the off-ramp, police said the tractor-trailer tipped over on its left side and slid across the off-ramp and North High Street, coming to an uncontrolled final stop in the middle of the intersection.

The driver, identified as a 40-year-old man from Florida, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for suspected serious injuries, according to police.
