Old Saybrook Woman Killed In I-395 Crash, State Police Say

GRISWOLD, CT — A woman died following a single-vehicle crash on I-395 in Griswold on Sunday evening, state police said.

Police responded to a report of an accident in the area of exit 24 on I-395 southbound in Griswold at 6:30 p.m.

A pickup truck had left the road and struck an overpass. The 2015 Ford F-150 was heavily damaged in the accident.

The driver was taken to Backus Hospital with suspected minor injuries.

The passenger, Colleen Grebasch, 75, of Old Saybrook, was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

The southbound side of the highway was closed during the investigation, which remains ongoing.
