1 Rescued From Capsized Sailboat In Clinton: Officials
The person was found "clinging to the side of the vessel…," according to officials.
CLINTON, CT — A person was rescued from a capsized sailboat Friday in Clinton, according to officials.
Members of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Clinton Police Department’s Marine 1, responded to a report of a capsized sailboat with one person in the water “appearing to be in distress,” according to officials.
Arriving units found an approximately 10-foot sailboat that had capsized.

One person was found “clinging to the side of the vessel, unable to right it,” according to a post on the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page.
“Using both our large response boat and medium skiff, members successfully removed the individual from the water, righted the sailboat, and assisted both the vessel and its occupant back to shore,” officials wrote in the post.
