"Our members assisted in removing the individuals from the wall, bringing the vessel to the boat launch, and getting it out of the water before it sank," fire officials said. "Two individuals were evaluated on scene for minor injuries."
"People often ask why our boat stays in the water year-round. The answer is simple: for situations like this. Anglers, hunters, and commercial vessels are on the water year-round. Being located between two USCG stations our mutual aid partners, and ourselves are often first on scene to any emergencies on the water. Today, Clinton was assisted by Westbrook Fire and Madison Hose Co. No. 1," fire officials said.
