The holiday season has arrived in Clinton, bringing twinkling lights, cheerful events and plenty of ways to make memories close to home. From light displays to beloved local traditions, here are the hometown holiday highlights you won’t want to miss.

Holiday Members Exhibition: Opening Reception

When: December 4, 2025 | 4:360–6:30 p.m.
Where: Andrews Memorial Town Hall, 54 E. Main Street, Clinton, CT

Clinton Art Society’s Holiday Exhibition opening reception is free, festive and a fun way to kick off the season while checking out great local art. Swing by Andrews Memorial Town Hall to enjoy the celebration and meet fellow art lovers. And if you can’t make the reception, no worries β€” the full exhibition will be on display from November 28 through January 15 during regular Town Hall hours.

Saybrook Starlight Festival

When: December 6, 2025 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Where: Downtown, Old Saybrook, CT

Take a quick drive to Saybrook and celebrate the season at the Saybrook Starlight Festival with a day full of activities. From shopping to decoration creation, you can pass the time with festive activities and even visit Santa. The fun kicks off the night before with the Hero Tree Lighting at The Kate, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Ivoryton Illuminations

When: December 6, 2025 | 5:30–8 p.m.
Where: Ivoryton Village Center, 100 Main St., Ivoryton, CT

Get your fill of Christmas lights 20 minutes down the road at Ivoryton Illuminations and feel the spirit surrounded by colorful lights and the sounds of Christmas. Tune your car’s radio to 101.5 FM and enjoy the synchronization with your stroll through the lights. Wrap up your evening with a visit and a picture from Santa, who will be arriving at The Playhouse at 6 p.m.

Holiday Craft Fair

When: December 6, 2025 | 9 a.m.
Where: Joel Elementary School, 137 Glenwood Rd., Clinton, CT

Joel Elementary School will be hosting their first Holiday Craft Fair in December. The school will offer a perfect shopping area for your holiday needs, including a kids-only section. The fair will also offer its annual Scholastic Book Fair, delicious food and raffles. Don't miss the chance to shop from over 50 amazing artisans and vendors.

Christmas in Clinton

When: December 6, 2025 | 2–5 p.m.
Where: Clinton City Hall, 54 E. Main St., Clinton, CT

Witness downtown Clinton transform into a winter wonderland as you stroll Main Street for the Christmas in Clinton event. Partake in several friendly competitions, from Gingerbread House Making to a Holiday Pie contest. Children can stay busy with bounce houses, crafts and more before Santa comes to help light the tree.

Have Yourself a Faery Little Christmas

When: December 13, 2025 | 2–6 p.m.
Where: Tea & Tarot, 130 E. Main St., Clinton, CT

Engulf yourself in the magic of the season, honoring Faeries and magick with some sweet cookie decorating, hot cocoa and laughter. Each child in attendance at the event will have the opportunity to place their Christmas wishes under the tree before the lighting ceremony. To wrap up the magical evening β€” in addition to the tree lighting β€” will be a special musical performance.

Holidays with the Symphony

When: December 13, 2025 | 7:30 p.m.

The Clinton Symphony Orchestra welcomes you to its annual show featuring holiday favorites and new classics. The wonderful Heather Petruzelli will be gracing the stage with her amazing voice and potentially a very special guest. A perfect family-friendly evening to settle into the holiday spirit.
