Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Crash With Car: Clinton Police

A bicyclist was struck by a car in an intersection in Clinton Tuesday morning, according to police.

CLINTON, CT — A bicyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a car Tuesday morning in Clinton, according to police.

First responders were dispatched to the intersection of East Main Street and Old Post Road at 7:56 a.m., police said in a news release.

Officers immediately rendered aid to an adult bicyclist who was struck by a car in the intersection, police said, noting the bicyclist was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with "serious" injuries. The driver of the car did not report any injuries.

Police are currently investigating the incident.

"The identities of both the bicyclist and motor vehicle operator are not being released at this time," police said. "More detailed information related to the accident may be released at a later time."
