Boat Bursts Into Flames In Old Saybrook, 1 Injured: Reports

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — Fire crews rushed to the scene near Bridge Street Friday morning after a boat was seen up in flames in Old Saybrook, according to multiple reports.

The fire took place at Harbor One Marina, WTNH reported.

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries as a result of the explosion, WFSB 3 TV reported. A witness told WFSB that the "flames were 10, 15 feet high, pretty crazy."

The boat was in the process of being fueled when the explosion occurred, WFSB 3 TV reported.

WTNH News 8 reported that the person injured was expected to survive and ended up being knocked into the water and was assisted by a bystander.
