Burger King Employee Stabbed Near Stop & Shop In Old Saybrook: Report
After being stabbed, the Burger King employee originally went back to work before being taken to the hospital, according to reports.
OLD SAYBROOK, CT — A Burger King employee was stabbed near a Stop & Shop on Friday afternoon, according to media reports.
The stabbing took place just after 2 p.m. outside a nearby Stop & Shop and wine store on the Boston Post Road, WFSB 3 TV reported.
The Burger King employee returned to work after being stabbed and police responded and took the victim to the hospital, WFSB 3 TV reported.

Quintin Petty, 62, was arrested and is charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace, WTNH News 8 reported.
The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Police Chief Michael Spera, via NBC Connecticut, said that "these instances are very rare in Old Saybrook..." and he lauded the efforts of police and expressed gratitude that the victim is expected to survive.
