Clinton 2021 Local Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours
Here's what you need to know concerning the 2021 Clinton local elections including the candidates, polling places, voting hours and more.

CLINTON, CT β Clinton residents will head to the polls on Nov. 2 to cast votes for the municipal election. Contested races include: Board of Education, Board of Assessments Appeal, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Police Commissioners.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 2. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. You can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting your information.
You can request an absentee ballot here or you can visit your town clerk's office. All voters are eligible to check the top box that lists "COVID-19" as a reason for requesting an absentee ballot.

In Clinton, the choices for Town Council are: Carrie Allen, Christopher Michael Passante, Paul Gebauer, all Democrats, and Tom Hollinger, a Republican, and Eric Bergman, of the Green Party. You will vote for up to three candidates.

For Board of Education, the candidates are: Erica S. Gelven, Jack Scherban, both Democrats, and Peter Nye, Mike Hornyak, both Republicans, and Jason Feeney, of the Green Party. You will vote for up to four candidates.
The candidates for Board of Assessments Appeal are: Alyson Roberts, a Democrat, and Joe Alves, a Republican, and John Escobales, of the Green Party. You will vote for one.
The Planning and Zoning Commission candidates are: Ellen Dahlgren, Will Benoit, Michael Rossi, all Democrats, and Mike Florio, Mike Knudsen, Walter Beau Clark, all Republicans, and Tania Abbatello, of the Green Party. You will vote for up to five candidates.
The Planning and Zoning Commission alternate candidates are: Jay S. Mandell, a Democrat, and Jim King, Brendan Saunders, both Republicans. You will vote for up to two candidates.
For the Zoning Board of Appeals the candidates are: Laurie Jaffe, Bertram Schmitz, both Democrats, and Dennis Irmscher, a Republican, and Hugh Birdsall, of the Green Party. You will vote for up to three candidates.
For the Zoning Board of Appeals alternate, the candidates are: Thomas Shultz, a Democrat, and Dylan Walter, a Republican. You will vote for up to two candidates.
For Board of Police Commissioner the candidates are: Lynn Hidek, Edward Tessman, both Democrats, and Wayne Buchanan, Dom Morrelli, John Harrington, all Republicans, and Phil Sengle, of the Green Party. You will vote for up to three candidates.
