Clinton’s newest arrivals to the city’s local-business community are making headway on their promise to become an oasis and community resource.
The hard-working duo, who did not originally set out to be small business owners, find themselves in a position to be change agents. It happened by accident — literally, according to McCarty, who came back from an accident that resulted in a broken neck just 18 months ago.

The injury changed the couple’s life and, ultimately, led them on the pathway to become the business owners of Clinton’s Your CBD Store.
“We’re here because we’re needed,” says Nosal, who is seeing increased demand for products that help manage pandemic-related stress, weight gain and sleep loss.
The store’s most popular product lines help relieve pain and inflammation.
CBD is becoming a more popular treatment method, according to the Arthritis Foundation, which reports that nearly 80% of arthritics are either currently using CBD, have used it or are considering it for their joint pain.
“More and more people are seeking alternatives to harsh and addictive pharmaceutical opioids, pain medications containing acetaminophen anti-inflammatory products containing ibuprofen,” says McCarty, who says he found that much-needed alternative, and more, in CBD.
Bottom line: People need relief.
“Although everyone is buoyed by promising pandemic recovery gains, there is a consistent, if not growing, group of customers who just want to make it through the week with a little less stress and an hour or two more of sleep than the week before,” says Nosal, who took on retail employment and worked countless hours to support her husband through his recovery.
“All of our proprietary products are clinically tested and science based,” says Nosal, who notes her company’s product quality and efficacy are critical market differentiators.
“Customers trust and rely upon us,” says the couple, who quickly came to value the company’s proprietary SUNMED products so much that they invested in the franchise.

The business owners plan to commemorate the official opening of their store at a two-day Grand Opening event on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, with a free gift, complimentary samples and a 30% discount until 1 p.m.
They will extend the opening special through the end of the May with a BOGO 30% discount.
“Everyone needs an oasis,” says Nosal.
And that’s exactly what Nosal hopes Clinton residents will find at Your CBD Store.
"Peter and I have made it through some extraordinarily difficult times with the help of CBD,” says Nosal. “We learned a lot through the process and want others to know recovery is possible.”
The seemingly simple goal is firmly rooted in their everyday life.
“We want to help our seniors, young families and other at-risk Clinton residents rediscover and celebrate their inherent resiliency," says Nosal.
