Clinton Man Killed in Moped Accident in Town
Police have not yet released the identity of the 41-year-old resident.
A 41-year-old Clinton man was killed Tuesday evening when the moped he was driving crashed into an SUV, police said.
The man's identity has not been released yet.
According to Clinton Police, the accident took place on East Main Street at the intersection of Marine Avenue, at about 7:30 p.m. on March 11.
"It was reported that a moped traveling west bound on East Main Street struck an SUV traveling east bound on East Main Street," the police report states. "The moped was in the wrong lane at the time of the collision."
Clinton Ambulance transported the operator of the moped to the Shoreline Clinic, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The two occupants in the SUV were not injured, according to police.
