Clinton Republican Town Committee Reports Results From 2014 Caucus

Republican Town Committee Chairman Phil Sengle said the Republican caucus on Thursday went well.

"We had several new faces attending and several are new on the town committee," he said. 

There were no disputes, he said, and about 55 people attended. 

"There were no challenges, meaning the number of nominations was limited to our authorized strength of 35," he said Friday. "Hence, there will be no primary in March."

Sengle said the new slate goes into office on March 10, 2014.

Sengle, on the Clinton Republican Town Committee website, said the goal of the Clinton RTC is "

to recruit, endorse and elect candidates who will inspire Clinton's institutions and energize civic enterprise to respond to its citizen’s needs in ways that are fiscally responsible and cost effective." Read more on the Clinton RTC website.
