Clinton Student Graduates from Coastal Carolina University

Olivia Schiess, of Clinton, CT graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts Education in Early Childhood Education on Saturday, May 11.

Some 739 students walked across the stage at commencement exercises on Saturday, May 11, at Brooks Stadium. A total of 950 students were eligible candidates for graduation.U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (R., S.C) was the commencement speaker and received the honorary degree, Doctor of Public Service.

S.C..Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic, public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, just minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The University offers 65 areas of study toward the baccalaureate degree and seven master's degree programs in accountancy, business administration, education, marine and wetland studies, and writing. Ten new undergraduate degree programs include biochemistry, economics, graphic design, information systems, intelligence and national security, musical theatre, theatre arts, as well as criminology, health and aging, and social justice tracks in sociology.
