Clinton Zoning Board Denies Former Governor's Request: Report
A zoning change application by former Gov. John Rowland was denied by the city's Planning and Zoning Commission.
CLINTON, CT — A zoning change application by former Gov. John Rowland was denied by the city's Planning and Zoning Commission, according to CT Insider. The proposed zone change was for a 1-acre Waterside Lane property that Rowland purchased in October for $800,000.
Rowland sought to change the zoning from R-20 to R-10, which would have allowed him to build a new residence behind the historic home.
Neighbors objected to the potential change to the street's historic character.
