Condolences To The Family And Friends Of Edith Nettleton

We send our condolences to the family and friends of Edith B. Nettleton, first Director of the Guilford Free Library, who died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at age 105.

Edith served as Director of the Guilford Free Library for 44 years, retiring in 1978.

From that time forward, she was a loyal volunteer for another 36 years, developing historical archives for the library’s Historical Room collection.

Her last project, which she worked on through the end of this past December, was the creation of the digital archive of Historical Room photographs.
