Crews Rescue Person Trapped Under Car In Clinton

CLINTON, CT — Crews responded Wednesday to an accident on Airline Road where one person was pinned under a car, according to fire officials.

Responders used a TL9 stabilizer to safely remove the person, who was then taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

"This incident marks the second time in a month that the TL9 from T and J Rescue Enterprises, LLC has been used to rescue a person trapped under a vehicle," Fire officials said. "Members have also completed two TL9 training sessions this month to ensure proficiency with the tool. Today’s response demonstrated the value of that training, as it took less than two minutes from the time the apparatus arrived to successfully free the individual."
