Ellafi Federal Credit Union Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipients

Ellafi Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the three recipients of its 2025 scholarship awards. Each student received a one-time $1,000 grant to support their continuing education, recognizing their academic achievements, community involvement, and personal resilience. All three recipients were recognized during a ceremony at Ellafi’s Annual Meeting in May.

β€œEducation and community engagement are vital to shaping the future, and we are committed to investing in students who demonstrate excellence in both areas,” said Robyn Swanson, Senior Vice President of Ellafi.

The Ella Scholarship
Scarlett Doyle
Awarded in recognition of her dedication to empowering women through leadership, advocacy, athletics, and service, Scarlett actively supports organizations that uplift women and girls in her community.
Upon graduating Coginchaug Regional High School in Durham, she plans to attend University of Connecticut, majoring in Environmental Engineering and minoring in Political Science with the goal of becoming a government policy analyst.

This award is given to a well-rounded student who excels academically while contributing meaningfully to his community through service and extracurricular involvement.
From Clinton, James is graduating from Xavier High School in Middletown and will attend Bryant University, where he plans to study Leadership & Innovation Management.

The Jean Crook Memorial Scholarship
Mikaela Fullam
Honored for her resilience and character, which were shaped by a challenging life experience. Mikaela embodies the strength and perseverance this scholarship was created to celebrate.
A Middletown native, Mikaela is graduating from Middletown High School and will attend the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford this fall, where she plans to study Health Sciences with a concentration in Occupational Therapy.

Ellafi’s annual scholarship program is exclusive to graduating high school seniors who are members of the credit union and plan to attend an accredited college, junior college, university, or trade school in Fall 2025. Eligible applicants were instructed to submit a 2025 scholarship application, an essay, and unofficial high school transcript.
