IDs Of 2 Boaters Found Dead In CT River After Crash Released
One man was 25 years old, and the other was 24 years, authorities said on Saturday. The boat crash occurred earlier last week.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — On Saturday evening, state officials released the identities of the two missing boaters that were recovered in the Connecticut River on Friday after a deadly boat crash in Old Saybrook earlier this week.
"The two missing adult males recovered from the CT River/Long Island Sound area in Old Saybrook following Monday night's boat accident have been identified as Ian Duchemin, 25, of Oakdale, CT, and Ryan D. Britagna, 24, of Waterford, CT," said state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials. "The State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. The incident remains under investigation."
The body of Christopher Hallahan, 34, of Westbrook, had already been discovered after the boat crash.

The boat crash happened around 9:15 p.m. on Monday.
DEEP Environmental Conservation Police along with other agencies responded to the report and found a single motorboat half-submerged near Harbor One Marina.

The boat had suffered significant damage. Nine people were on the boat at the time of the crash, DEEP said. One man died, six were taken to the hospital, and two people were missing after the crash.
"In addition to DEEP EnCon Police, DEEP thanks the many agencies that provided resources and aided in the search effort since Monday night, including: Middletown PD and Fire, the US Coast Guard, Sea Tow, Old Saybrook PD and Fire, East Lyme PD, the Connecticut State Police Dive Team and Air Units, Guilford Fire, Taftville Fire, Goshen Fire, Greenwich Police, Voluntown Fire, Old Mystic Fire, Middlesex EMS, Old Saybrook EMS, Tow Boat US, and the Old Lyme Harbormaster," state officials said on Saturday.
