OLD SAYBROOK, CT — Mad Coffee Roasters is a new independent shop that opened in Old Saybrook over Mother's Day weekend, according to The Middletown Press. The 1,800-square-foot store opened in a former Dunkin' Donuts location at 744 Boston Post Road.

The shop's owners have plans to open a stone patio with picnic tables and umbrellas for outdoor seating.

According to the shop's website: "Mad Coffee Roasters is a family owned small batch roasting company. We buy and source our beans from the most conscientious producers and select coffees that take our breath away. As a family company our values trickle down to every bean we roast. In the end what really matters is we provide all of our customers with a second to none customer service experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere else and a fantastic cup of coffee."
