The purpose of the sale is to raise funds to support the upcoming Hammonassett Festival to be held October 5th and 6th at Meigs Point in the Park.

It could have been the wet weather, or the extreme heat, but my garden didn't grow very well this year. With fallΒ approaching, my yard is looking dull and drab. Β FortunatelyΒ the Friends of Hammonasset will be selling Connecticut grownΒ chrysanthemumsΒ and pumpkins at Hammonasset Beach State Park.Β

TheΒ saleΒ will continue daily untilΒ Sunday, September 15, 2013.Β Volunteers will man the stand fromΒ 9AM to 5PM.Β The location is the same for the Plant and ShrubΒ SaleΒ and the Christmas TreeΒ Sale-300 yards east of the Park entrance on Route 1.
