Man Charged In Fatal Wrong-Way Crash On I-95 In Westbrook: Reports
A man was charged with DUI and reckless driving after a wrong-way accident led to the death of another driver Wednesday.

WESTBROOK, CT — A man has been charged in connection to a fatal wrong-way crash on I-95 in Westbrook, WTNH News 8 and Hearst Connecticut Media reported.
Troy Bree, 57, of Groton, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Bree was released from custody on a promise to appear in Middletown Superior Court Oct. 31.

Troopers out of Westbrook responded to a report of a crash near exit 65 around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
A 2017 Cadillac ATS was driving the wrong way on the highway's southbound lanes and crashed into a 2014 Mustang GT.

The Mustang's driver, Mark Palumbo, Jr., 47, of Madison, was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
The Cadillac's driver, Bree, was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours and reopened around 2 a.m., according to WFSB 3-TV. Traffic was diverted off I-95 during the closure at exit 66.
State police told Hearst Connecticut Media on Friday that the DUI charge against Bree "is not the final investigative measure in this case.”
The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact Trooper Sorsor at Troop F at 860-399-2100.
