Obituary: Anthony G. β€˜Tony’ Torino, 67, Of Clinton

His true calling in life was cooking Italian food. He spent many years as a well-known Chef at Leon's Restaurant.

CLINTON, CT β€” (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Anthony G. "Tony" Torino, 67, departed this life on January 15, 2023 at his residence in Clinton, CT. Tony was born in New Haven, Connecticut on April 2, 1955 to the late John and Mary (Warden) Torino, Jr.

Tony's favorite pastime was riding his Harley Davidson with Billy, Jimmy and friends. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races. His true calling in life was cooking Italian food. He spent many years as a well-known Chef at Leon's Restaurant. After retiring from cooking, his second career was as a Chauffeur with Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.

Anthony is survived by his sisters Rosemary Eastwood & Diane Sabo (husband Bobby); and his nephew Marc Lafo (wife Tricia).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 9 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St. Wallingford. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St. Wallingford. Those who wish to attend the Mass are asked to gather directly at the church on Saturday morning. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery located at 280 Derby Ave. in West Haven, CT.
