Obituary: Blake Edward Maynard, 40, Of Clinton

Blake was the founder and board member of the nonprofit Shoreline Veteran's Corporation. He was an avid sports fan and devoted family man.

CLINTON, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home): Blake Edward Maynard, 40, of Clinton passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born in New Haven on July 2, 1981. He was the beloved son of Keith and Cathy Maynard of Westbrook. He leaves behind the love of his life, his daughter, Brett Maynard.

He had a very special place in his heart for veterans; he was a founder and board member of the nonprofit Shoreline Veteran’s Corporation, which was founded in 2008.

Blake was an avid sports fan. He loves football, baseball, and wrestling.

Blake was a huge Brett Favre fan, naming his daughter after him.

Before the pandemic, Blake achieved one of his dreams by owning Lionheart Tavern in Niantic.

He was currently a manager at Sally’s Apizza in New Haven.

He is survived by Richard and Linda Barredo of Ivoryton, Carol Mason of Higganum, Michael and Andrea Malone of Brooklyn, and Keith and Jennifer Fogle of East Lyme, cousins and too many friends to name.
