In Peregrine's Landing at the Shoreline, Clinton, CT, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, Simon P.J. Stewart, 74, passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Katharine Skillen Stewart. Born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, on April 3, 1939, son of the late Irish international rugby player Joseph Stewart and Joyce Bee Stewart. Loving father of Katrina Stewart of Guilford and Patrick Stewart and his wife Kristen of Wynnewood, PA. ... Simon lived life to the fullest, loved to travel and was happiest when surrounded by friends and family entertaining them with stories. Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, October 25 from 11 – 12 noon at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. A Memorial Service will follow at the Guilford Funeral Home at 12 noon. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Simon's memory may be made to the Guilford Land Conservation Trust, PO Box 200, Guilford, CT 06437.
