Old Saybrook Pub Reopens After COVID Exposure

An Old Saybrook pub has reopened a week after a staff member tested positive for the virus.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — The Penny Lane Pub in Old Saybrook reopened this week after being closed for a week due to COVID-19, NBC CT reported. The general manager said the decision to close was made after Thanksgiving when a staff member tested positive.

The restaurant reopened Monday after all returning staff tested negative.

"It was hard to be closed for so long and we'd like to never do it again," the pub wrote on Facebook. "Thank you for being such an awesome and supportive community through it."
