Over $120K Raised For Old Saybrook Boating Accident Victim's Family

A fundraiser aims to help the wife of a man killed in the accident and fund a safety measure to prevent future tragedies.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — The community has stepped up following a boating accident that left three people dead in Old Saybrook last week.

A GoFundMe has been started for Brittany Hallahan. Her husband, Christopher Hallahan, 34, of Westbrook, was killed in the crash.

"Chris was a selfless person, one that helped others and would never say no," Jennifer Pons, one of four organizers of the fundraiser wrote. "He was generous, loving, professional. One who expected absolutely nothing in return. He loved being there to help others, whether it was through work, friends or the community. Christopher touched everyone who met him in a positive way. He was always a smiling light for those who needed it, a light that should never be forgotten.
