Soup Kitchen's Field of Dreams Has Taken Root

Volunteers of all ages have combined their efforts and sewn seeds in a couple vegetable gardens behind the Soup Pantry by the Episcopal Church of Holy Advent. 

And now, their efforts are beginning to sprout, according to a report in The Day. 

The article in The Day said, “A total of 355 vegetable seedlings were planted-40 tomatoes (4four varieties), 30 zucchini, 30 yellow squash, 75 cucumbers, 180 peppers (eight varieties)-all donated by Shoreline Gardens.”

The vegetables will go toward a cause "Food for All" and "Food for All Jr.", with the latter being garden planted by elementary students.
