Stolen Vehicles Recovered After Multi-Town Investigation, Pursuit: Clinton Police
Police are searching for suspects in connection with vehicles stolen in Guilford and Madison that came into Clinton, according to officials.
CLINTON, CT — Two stolen vehicles were recovered, and the suspects are still being sought, after a multi-town investigation and pursuit on Wednesday night, according to Clinton police.
Clinton police found a stolen white Ford in the area of West Main Street and Pearl Street after receiving a "Be On the Lookout" broadcast from the Madison Police Department, according to police.
Arriving officers saw suspects running from the vehicle, according to police.

“While units were actively searching for those individuals, a second stolen vehicle — a red Jeep — believed to be associated with the initial vehicle, was located on Commerce Street,” Clinton police wrote in a news release. “Officers initiated a traffic stop on the Jeep, but the vehicle fled the area. Stop Sticks were successfully deployed, however, the vehicle continued onto I-95 northbound, and the pursuit was terminated near Exit 64 for public safety.”
Police said the Jeep was found abandoned in Westbrook.

“Witnesses reported seeing suspects fleeing into a nearby construction yard,” police wrote. “A K-9 track was conducted with negative results. Additionally, a drone search was deployed in Clinton after reports of individuals running through residential yards, but that search also yielded no suspects.”
Police said the initial stolen vehicle (Ford) has been recovered and will be processed by the Guilford Police Department, while the second stolen vehicle (Jeep) will be processed by the Madison Police Department.
“The investigation remains active and is being coordinated across multiple agencies,” police wrote.
