As summer draws to a close, you may be wondering if you've done enough to make memories with your kids. Have you taken every opportunity to go to the beach? Have you had time to help them catch fireflies at night? How about game night on the back porch with neighbors?
There's only a little bit of summer left, but, luckily for us, this last official week of summer will provide us with some more opportunities for fun with our family and friends. Tops on our list is the Rotary Carnival in Madison at the end of the week, starting Thursday at 5 p.m. and running through the weekend. It promises to be old fashioned family fun. Check out the listing for all of the details.
As for the weather, the National Weather Service says that showers and thunderstorms are expected at the beginning of the work week, along with more clouds than sun. But, by Thursday, the NWS is calling for a turn to the sunny side, just in time for the carnival, and, let's hope, a spectacular Labor Day Weekend.
