Tree Down On Chittenden Hill Road Cleared By Public Works

From the Clinton Department of Public Works Facebook page: 

"Public Works responded to Chittenden Hill Road to assist CL&P with a large section of a tree down across the primary wires early this evening. Crew members removed the section of tree from the wires and cleared the road by 8:00 pm. Power is out in the area."

The tree appeared to have insect damage, the public works department said. 

CL&P is reporting about 29 customers still without power as of 9:24 p.m. Thursday. If your power is out and you have not yet reported it, be sure to do so at (800) 286-2000
