The Winter Follies Returns to the Stage this December
Local Dance Studio Presents An Afternoon Of Holiday Song and Dance for Kids in Need
The Dance Corner, of Killingworth, CT, presents its thirteenth annual performance of The Winter Follies: A Celebration of the Season Through Song and Dance. The performance is Saturday, December 11th at 4:00pm at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall Auditorium on East Main Street in Clinton, CT.
This toy drive performance has become a holiday tradition on the shoreline. The pandemic forced The Dance Corner team to reimagine the event as a series of outdoor performances in 2020. While the 2020 performances were a success, the dancers and choreographers are excited to bring the Follies back to the Clinton Town Hall stage this year for an afternoon of fun and festive songs and dance. The Winter Follies show will surely put you and your family in the holiday spirit!
Carrie Smith director of The Dance Corner says, βThis event is very important to me because itβs about giving back to our community and helping those in need. At The Dance Corner we are teaching more than just great dance. We are dedicated to helping our students become great people. The Winter Follies doesnβt have all the flashy costumes and flowers and trophies of our annual recital, but for our students performing in this show is more significant, because it is about family, friends and our community coming together to make a needy childβs holiday special. Over the past 13 Winter Follies performances we have collected over 3000 toy donations for Toys for Tots, Haddam Youth and Family Services, Madison Youth and Family Services and Yale New Haven Childrenβs hospital. We havenβt let the pandemic keep us from dancing and giving back to our community.β
