• Legal Notices - December 11, 2025 (lakevillejournal.com) — Cornwall’s tax collector has announced new office hours and key deadlines for paying supplemental motor vehicle, real estate, and personal property taxes due January 1, 2026. Payments must be received or postmarked by February 2 to avoid interest, which accrues from January 1 on any unpaid balance. Residents are reminded that not receiving a bill does not remove their obligation to pay.
   

• Region One enrollment drops 4% from last year (lakevillejournal.com) — Cornwall families are seeing a small rise in local elementary enrollment even as overall Region One student numbers drop 4% from last year, which will affect how much each town pays for schools. A draft regional budget goes to the Board of Education in March, followed by an April public hearing and a district-wide referendum in May.
