31K Danbury Drug Bust: PD Finds Cocaine, Heroin, Brass Knuckles, Loaded Gun
A 30-year-old Danbury man was arrested Thursday after police found a loaded gun, heroin, cocaine and brass knuckles in his house.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury police have arrested a city man after an investigation by the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (S.I.D.), with the assistance of the Community Conditions Unit, General investigations and a member of the FBI, according to Danbury Police. The department received several complaints of activity consistent with drug sale and obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 11 Ken Oaks Dr, Danbury, the person of Claudio Matrinez-Abreu, 30, and his car.
On October 20, 2016, the court authorized search and seizure warrants were issued and police seized Matrinez-Abreu and his car at the intersection of Ken Oaks and Boulevard Drive. After taking he and his car into custody, investigators searched both his car and house, and found him to be in possession of 720.8 grams (25.43 ounces) of cocaine, a lesser amount of heroin, brass knuckles and a loaded pistol. Det. Lt. Mark Williams said the estimated street value of the seized drugs totals more than $31,000.
Matrinez-Abreu was arrested and transported to the Danbury Police Department where he is being held for a cash bond pending arraignment. Charges include possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, negligent storage of a firearm. His bond was set at $200,000.
