5 Arrested After Fight at Gas Station After Party: Police

Danbury police said a Brookfield man hit a man with a baseball bat after a fight broke out at a gas station following a party.

Danbury, CT — Danbury police Lt. Det. Christian Carroccio said the department arrested several individuals after a fight broke out at a Mobil gas station.

On July 6, at approximately 4:29 p.m., officers were flagged down in the area of the gas station at 419 Main St. for an assault, police said. Officers said they observed Savon Tallman, 23, of Danbury with a significant laceration to his head, just over his left eye.

Tallman and Montel Watson, 21, of Brookfield informed officers that another male had hit Tallman with "a bat" and had run to the other side of the building. Officers located Aaron Coderre, 24, also of Brookfield, where he was last seen running.

After an investigation, police determined that approximately a half hour earlier, police responded to a President Street residence for a domestic dispute. According to police, Corderre confronted a man who was not invited to the party and the man returned shortly thereafter with Rodney Stevenson, Watson and Tallman. As a result, police said that approximately seven to 10 relatives and friends of the male family member were stalking and threatening Corderre.

Police said Corderre arrived at the Mobil Station, where Tallman and Watson confronted him, and Corderre struck Tallman with a baseball bat.
