Accessible Art Series Comes to Danbury

The 9th annual Accessible Art series opens Monday, April 11th.

The advent of Spring always brings with it new inspiration, and for the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut, it means the arrival of a new round of its 9th annual Accessible Art series, opening Monday, April 11th. The year-long, multi-site program, made possible, in part, by the Fairfield County's Community Foundation, continues to blossom with works by Samantha Amoroso (Middletown), Maressa Gershowitz (Danbury), Leticia Hixon (Stormville, NY) , Chris Kiely (Danbury), Stephanie Kix (New York, NY), Elisabeth Levy (Bethel), Chris Plaisted (New Milford), and Mary Margaret Walsh (Danbury). The exhibitions will run through Tuesday, June 14th, as the Cultural Alliance celebrates its 10th anniversary. Hours at the venues vary, so call ahead. For more information about Accessible Art, call (203) 798 0760 or visit www.artswesternct.org (All exhibitions are subject to change.)

Here's what has inspired the eight artists featured in the Cultural Alliance's Spring Accessible Art shows:
