Alves Announces Reelection Campaign, Over $78,000 In Early Funding
Danbury Mayor Alves announced his reelection campaign on Thursday, reporting a fundraising total of $78,787 in the six weeks since filing.
DANBURY, CT — Mayor Roberto L. Alves announced his reelection campaign on Thursday, reporting a fundraising total of $78,787 in the six weeks since filing, according to a news release from the campaign
Alves will launch his campaign at a kickoff event on Feb. 7 at Charter Oak Brewing.
"Danbury deserves leadership that puts people first, and the support we’ve received shows that our community believes in the progress we’ve made together," Alves said. "Our city’s future is bright, and we’ve already begun building a stronger foundation – one that prioritizes public safety, infrastructure, and creating opportunities for every resident. I’m excited to continue this work, and to keep delivering for Danbury."

Alves, elected to his first term in 2023, defeated single-term incumbent Dean Esposito to become the city's first Democratic mayor in 22 years.
