Bem Bonita Celebrates Main Street

Glaucia Pereira has run Bem Bonita Brazilian Fashion on Main Street for 12 years.
Pereira described Main Street as vibrant and safer than other Main Streets in Connecticut cities.
"Where else would you want to be? It's safe. In the summer people are walking around, stopping in," Pereira said.
Pereira visits Brazil once or twice a year to see fashion shows in Sao Paulo. She places orders in Brazil and has the clothes shipped via Miami or Boston to Danbury.
She and her two sisters all work in fashion, Brazilian fashion, Pereira emphasized.
"We're all involved in fashion," Pereira said. The shop carries Brazilian jeans, shirts, skirts, dresses, shoes and other fashion accessories.
