City Of Danbury Free Curbside Leaf Pick-Up Now Through Dec. 6
The City of Danbury has begun its 2024 Fall Leaf Pick-Up Program, which will continue through Dec. 6.
DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury has begun its 2024 Fall Leaf Pick-Up Program, which will continue through Dec. 6.
Residents may deposit only leaves bagged in paper leaf bags with no tape at the curbside in front of their homes for the city’s Highway Department to pick-up, free of charge.
The Leaf Pick Up program is divided by Interstate 84. Section A is south of I-84 (zip code 06810) and section B is north of I-84 (zip code 06811).

Dates for 2024 Fall Leaf Pick-up Program:
- Oct. 28 – Nov. 1: Section A (zip code 06810)
- Nov. 4 – Nov. 8: Section B (zip code 06811)
- Nov. 11 – Nov. 15: Section A
- Nov. 18 – Nov. 22: Section B
- Nov. 25 – Nov. 29: Section A
- Dec. 2 – Dec. 6: Section B
Branches will be picked up separately. Limbs must be cut into lengths no longer than 4 feet, no limb may be larger than 4 inches in diameter. Branches must be bundled with twine in bundles no heavier than 35 lbs.

Pick-up dates are subject to change throughout the program, depending on weather and the Highway Department’s work schedule. There are times when pick-up will be held over until the following scheduled visit to your zip code, according to the notification on the City website.
