Danbury Drug Dealer Busted After Traffic Stop: Police
The accused was arrested after a weeks-long investigation, police say.

DANBURY, CT — A suspected drug dealer was found with packaged drugs and cash after a traffic stop Friday following a weeks-long investigation, Danbury police said. Elbion "Mark" Barnes, 28, of Danbury was arrested on various drug charges after he was found at a gas station on Newtown Rd.
Police say they had been investigating Barnes for weeks after receiving citizen complaints of Barnes' activity. After securing a warrant on Aug. 18, Police found Barnes at the gas station where they say they saw narcotics packaged for sale and cash in plain view in the vehicle.
Barnes was arrested, and investigators searching the home found more narcotics and other drug paraphernalia.

Barnes was charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession with intent to sell, possession within a 1,500 feet of a prohibited place, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a prohibited place, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drup paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a prohibited place, risk of injury to a child and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
He was held on a $50,000 bond.
