DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department has fired an officer accused of stalking a woman while he was on duty.
The decision to terminate Myckol L. Rodriguez' employment came following a disciplinary hearing last week, according to Mayor Roberto Alves.
The activities of Rodriguez, 34, a Miford resident, came under suspicion during an internal investigation, according to Chief Patrick Ridenhour. The information discovered prompted the DPD to contact the Danbury State's Attorney for guidance, and the State's Attorney's Office subsequently requested a criminal probe by the State Police.
