Danbury House Cleaner Accused of Stealing Jewelry
The suspect allegedly swiped the jewelry worth thousands of dollars while employed by a Greenwich family.

A Danbury woman is facing charges that she swiped jewelry worth thousands of dollars during the year she was employed by a Greenwich family.
The suspect surrendered on Jan. 21 to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging her with first-degree larceny and second-degree providing a false statement, according to a police report.
The 35-year-old woman worked for the family who lives on Valley Road, from October 2014 to October 2015. She “was given full access to the home and was often left alone and unsupervised within the home,” according to the police reports.
The suspect was identified as Grace Guzman, of 93 Park Ave., Danbury.
In their report, police wrote “Guzman stole dozens of pieces of jewelry. Several of the stolen pieces held not only monetary value but were of significant sentimental value. After stealing the items, Guzman pawned the items in Danbury some of which as scrap metal.”
Guzman was released after posting $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 29 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
