Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton Returns To Work: Report
The eight-term mayor had surgery earlier this month to remove a lemon-sized cyst from his brain.

DANBURY, CT — Just over two weeks surgery to remove a lemon-sized tumor from his brain, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton has returned to his post, reports the News Times. While not back to work full-time, Boughton returned to his usual Thursday morning radio spot and return to city hall on Monday.
A life-changing event for the longtime mayor and leading gubernatorial candidate, Boughton has candidly discussed the emotions surrounding the surgery. On Aug. 8 he traveled to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for the removal of a benign epidermoid cyst from his brain.

According to the publication, Boughton grew teary-eyed several times during his interview with the News Times. He says he plans to decide if he wants to run for governor after Nov. 7's mayoral election.
