Danbury Medical Technology Facility To Lay Off 86 Workers

Hologic will pink slip 71 workers on Dec. 20 when it shutters its facility at the end of December, and another 15 in Q1 of 2025.

DANBURY, CT — A medical technology company has announced it will be closing its Danbury facility.

Massachusetts-based Hologic will pink slip 71 workers on Dec. 20 when it shutters its facility at 36 Apple Ridge Road. Three more will be laid off on Jan. 31, and the remaining 12 workers will be laid off on or around Feb. 14 through 21, 2025, according to a filing made with the Connecticut Department of Labor.

The Oct. 18 letter to the DoL was signed by Erin Olesen, Holologic's corporate counsel for Employment and Compliance.
