Danbury PD Charges Accused Fentanyl Dealer After Citizen Complaints: Police
The 38-year-old suspect, police said, is well-known to the DPD for past narcotics violations and arrests.

DANBURY, CT — Citizen complaints regarding drug sales in Danbury resulted in narcotics charges for one local man this week.
According to the Danbury Police Department, Dean Randall Loconte, 38, of Victor Street, Danbury, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken into custody Jan. 8 on a $10,000 bond, police said.

Detectives from the DPD's Special Investigations Division, assisted by officers from the community conditions unit, apprehended Loconte following a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales throughout Danbury, police said.
"The investigation began after detectives received complaints from concerned citizens regarding illegal drug sales," wrote the DPD in a statement.

Loconte was eventually identified as the target of the investigation.
Police said Loconte is a convicted felon and is known to detectives through past narcotic investigations and arrests.
As part of the investigation, detectives obtained court-authorized search warrants for Loconte’s person, his cellular telephone, and an apartment unit in Danbury, wrote the DPD.
On Jan. 7, detectives were conducting surveillance of the apartment when Loconte was observed exiting the residence.
Detectives approached Loconte, and he was detained without incident.
During a follow-up search, police recovered five bags of fentanyl, approximately 10.5 grams of crack cocaine, a large sum of money, an electronic scale, and other packaging material.
Loconte was placed under arrest and transported to DPD headquarters.
