Danbury Police: Risk of Injury to a Minor
Danbury Police investigated reports a registered sex offender was talking to juveniles who walked past his house. Police charged the man with risk of injury to a minor.

Danbury Police sought and received an arrest warrant for Neang Nuth, a registered sex offender. Police said someone complained that Nuth was hanging out near his home and engaging persons in conversations as they walked past him. Nuth is on probation and prohibited from having contact with juveniles. It was reported that Nuth had an inappropriate conversation with a juvenile. As a result of the complaint and investigation, the Special Victims Unit applied for an arrest warrant for Nuth. Danbury Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for Nuth charging him with risk of injury to a minor.
Members of the department's Community Conditions Unit saw Nuth walking on Main Street at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday and charged him. Nuth was held on a $100,000 bond.
This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
