
Danbury Police were called to the Northside Animal Hospital Friday at about 5 p.m. on the report of a male threatening the staff with a handgun.
Millard Reynolds, 38, of Danbury was very upset when he brought in his lifeless dog into the office.
Veterinarians immediately tried to resuscitate his dog, however Reynolds became more upset and pulled out a handgun waving it in the air and eventually pointing it at several employees. Reynolds went on to threaten to kill staff members if his dog died and started to damage the property. An employee went to the backroom and called 911. Reynolds was taken into custody without incident.
Reynolds was charged with three counts of threatening, two counts of reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace. Reynolds was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 11.
Danbury police saw a car at 4:39 a.m. Sunday on Kenosia Avenue cross into their lane. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the operator, Adriana Duque, 26, of Danbury. Adriana's eyes were glassy, red, and bloodshot and officers smelled a strong and distinct odor of an alcohol as she spoke. Adriana failed the standardized field sobriety tests. Adriana was charged with failure to drive right and operating under the influence. Adriana was released after posting a $500 bond and will appear at Danbury Superior Court on June 12.
Danbury police received a call at 10:12 p.m. Sunday that a pizza delivery person was robbed at gun point. Police went to DeGiovanni's Pizza at 216 White St., and talked to the pizza delivery driver. The driver said he attempted to deliver a pizza on Filmore Avenue when a male approached him and put a gun to his head and demanded his money and his phone. The suspect then took off on foot and the driver drove back to the restaurant to call the police.
A check of the area yielded negative results. The suspect was described as: A younger male, (22 to 25-years-old) white or Hispanic with a tan complexion, approximately 5'07 tall, with a thin build. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau 203-797-4662.
