There's always a lot going on in Danbury. Here's a few things happening this weekend:
Danbury Westerners Baseball Action! Come see the Danbury Westerners Friday evening as they face their divisional rivals the Vermont Mountaineers at Rogers Park. Baseball- the Magazine will be our very special guests this evening. First pitch is 6:30. Danbury Westerners baseball: Real Baseball, Real Close.
A few Summer Blockbusters have hit the big screens at AMC Loews Danbury. An afternoon movie will either take you out of the heat or out of the rain, depending on the day. Consider Despicable Me II.
Closer to home, the Danbury Museum is hosting Two Navajo Detectives working to prove Butch Cassidy didn't die as portrayed in the popular movie. Two Navajo detectives are hot on the trail. Based on the popular Tony Hillerman novel; starring Adam Beach and West Studi. Originally aired as part of PBS' Mystery! series.
Bring your own popcorn and enjoy the film on the big screen in Huntington Hall, 43 Main St., 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Greater Danbury Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 11 is hosting a brief memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Danbury Korean War Memorial in Rogers Park. The association invites everyone to attend a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. The Monument contains the names of 17 area service members killed in action or who died while in captivity.
